History
The San Francisco Region of the SCCA opened Thunderhill west of Willows in 1993 and still owns it. From 1998 to 2024 it hosted the NASA 25 Hours of Thunderhill, billed as the longest car race in the US. A West circuit was later added, which links with the East circuit to form a roughly five-mile course.
