History
The California Sports Car Club, a region of the SCCA, opened Buttonwillow in 1995 northwest of Bakersfield and uses it as its home track and headquarters. Its many layouts include the popular Configuration 13, long used for time-attack events such as Super Lap Battle. The track was repaved in 2014 and a second, more technical circuit was planned in the 2020s.
