History
The grounds began as a horse-racing fairground before switching to auto racing, joining NASCAR as a dirt track in 1959 and being paved in 1967. The Arute family bought the speedway in 1970 and still runs it, and it is known as the home of the SK Modified. It dropped its NASCAR weekly sanction after 2020 and hosted the first Superstar Racing Experience event in 2021.
