New London-Waterford Speedbowl

The Speedbowl opened in April 1951 and was paved with asphalt within weeks after its original stone surface proved too dusty. It passed through many owners, including the Arute and Korteweg families, and endured a foreclosure that ended with Bruce Bemer buying it at auction in 2014. NASCAR ended its sanction in 2017, but the track has kept racing every season since it opened.
