History
Opened as Sears Point International Raceway, the complex held its first drag and road races in early 1969. Speedway Motorsports bought it in 1996, and it was known as Infineon Raceway from 2002 to 2011 before becoming Sonoma Raceway in 2012. IndyCar raced there from 2005 to 2018, and NASCAR's top series still visits every year.
