History
Mitchell Raceway in Fairbanks bills itself as the farthest-north dirt track in the world. Racing there dates to 1969, and the quarter-mile oval is run by the volunteer Greater Fairbanks Racing Association. Its summer program covers several stock car classes as well as winged sprint cars.
