History
The Speedway opened in 1909 and is famous for the Indianapolis 500. An infield road course was added in 2000 for the Formula One U.S. Grand Prix, which ran there through 2007. MotoGP raced on a revised layout from 2008 to 2015. Since 2014 IndyCar has held a May Grand Prix on the current 14-turn configuration.
