History
Promoter Ralph Sanchez and city leaders built the track to help Homestead recover from Hurricane Andrew, and it opened in November 1995. First a rectangular layout, it was reshaped into a true oval in 1997, given variable banking in 2003 and lit in 2005. It hosted NASCAR's season finales from 2002 to 2019 and became the championship venue again in 2026.
