History
The three-eighths-mile flat oval opened in December 1990 as Charlotte County Speedway. It was later called Punta Gorda Speedway, Charlotte County Motorsports Park and Three Palms Speedway before taking the 4-17 Southern Speedway name in 2016. It has hosted Florida super late model shows and touring sprint car events, and MotoBros took over operations in 2023.
