History
High Plains Raceway sits on the eastern Colorado plains near Byers and Deer Trail. It was developed by a nonprofit group of Colorado car clubs after Second Creek Raceway near Denver was lost to development. The road course opened in 2008 and is used almost entirely for amateur racing, driver schools and lapping days.
