History

Green Valley Raceway in the Smithfield area of North Richland Hills combined a road course with a drag strip that used the front straight. The road course hosted Trans-Am races in the 1960s and again in 1984, along with a Can-Am round, while the strip ran NHRA and AHRA meets. The track closed in the mid-1980s and was replaced by homes, and the city later dedicated a historical park preserving part of the drag strip staging area.
