History
Former funny car driver Billy Meyer built the Texas Motorplex south of Dallas and opened it in 1986. It was billed as the first all-concrete, stadium-style drag racing facility. The track holds the NHRA Texas FallNationals each fall and is co-owned by Meyer and his daughter Christie Meyer Johnson.
