History

Speedway Motorsports built zMAX Dragway across from Charlotte Motor Speedway, opening it in 2008 as a four-lane, stadium-style strip. In 2010 it staged the first four-wide NHRA national event, and Matt Hagan made the first three-second Funny Car pass there in 2011. It is listed in older directories under Charlotte Motor Speedway, its sister facility.
