Volusia Speedway Park

Benny Corbin built the track near Barberville in 1968 as a quarter-mile dirt oval, enlarging it to a half mile by 1972. After several owners and switches between dirt and asphalt, it was bought by DIRT Motorsports, now World Racing Group, in 2005. Its February DIRTcar Nationals, first held in 1972, have grown into a multi-week Speedweeks festival, and pit scenes for the 1990 film Days of Thunder were shot there.
