History
VIR opened near the North Carolina line in August 1957 and became a popular SCCA venue before closing in 1974. Harvey Siegel and Connie Nyholm revived it in 2000 as a resort-style 'motorsport country club'. It now hosts IMSA and MotoAmerica rounds along with many club and corporate events.
