History
Smoky Mountain Speedway near Maryville, Tennessee, was built in the early 1960s as Smokey Mountain Raceway. It hosted NASCAR Grand National races from 1965 to 1971. The track was paved in 1967 and went back to dirt in 1978. It was shortened to 3/8 mile for 2023 and remains a stop for national dirt late model series.
