History
Ed Gatlin opened the facility in 1986 with a drag strip and road course, and a three-quarter-mile oval was added in 1998. As Memphis Motorsports Park it hosted NASCAR Busch and Truck Series races until 2009, then closed in 2010 before reopening as Memphis International Raceway in 2011. Operations stopped in June 2022, and the International Hot Rod Association acquired the property in late 2025 with plans to revive the drag strip and rebuild the complex.
