History
Dover Motorsports opened the concrete 1.33-mile oval in 2001, and it hosted NASCAR's Busch and Truck Series plus IndyCar during its first decade. Poor attendance and debt led Dover to shut it after the 2011 season. Racing returned in 2021 with the track's first Cup Series race, and Speedway Motorsports took ownership that same year.
