History
This concrete oval in Barton, New York, with an adjoining drag strip, took the name of the famed Shangri-La Speedway in nearby Owego, which closed in 2005 for gravel mining. It sat idle for years after its last races around 2014-2015. A new owner reopened it in 2024 with volunteer cleanup crews, and promoter Jason Makarewicz ran events there in 2025.
