History
The quarter-mile in Loves Park, run for decades by the Deery family, opened in 1948 and was known for the National Short Track Championship each fall. After owner Jody Deery's death and growth along the Route 173 corridor, the family sold the nearly 50-acre site to a developer. The track held its final race on October 29, 2023, after 76 seasons.
