History
Irwindale Speedway opened in March 1999 with a half-mile, progressively banked oval and became a hub of Southern California short-track racing. It ran as Toyota Speedway at Irwindale from 2008 to 2011 and as Irwindale Event Center from 2012 to 2017, and its drifting events earned it the nickname 'The House of Drift'. Operator Tim Huddleston announced the closure in October 2024, and the last events were held that December.
