History
The NHRA-owned strip opened in 1969 and staged its first Gatornationals in 1970. It became known as a record track, where Kenny Bernstein made the first 300-mph drag run in March 1992. A road course was added in 2000, and the facility has run under both the Gainesville Raceway and Auto-Plus Raceway names.
