History
The track opened in July 1960 as Atlanta International Raceway and went through bankruptcy in the early 1970s. Bruton Smith bought it in 1990, and it was rebuilt as a quad-oval in 1997. A 2022 repave raised the banking and narrowed the surface to produce drafting-style racing, and in 2025 it took the EchoPark Speedway name under a sponsorship with the Smith family's car dealership business.
