History
The circuit near Braselton opened in September 1970 and hosted the SCCA Runoffs through 1993. After passing through several owners, it was bought by Don Panoz in 1996, who launched the Petit Le Mans endurance race there in 1998. IMSA Holdings (NASCAR) took over in 2012, and Michelin has held the naming rights since 2019.
