History
The half-mile clay oval in Mesquite opened in 1966. It is known as the birthplace of the World of Outlaws, whose first race was held there on March 18, 1978, and won by Jimmy Boyd. The track hosted 88 WoO events before the land was sold, and it closed after the October 2023 Sprint Car Stampede.
