History

Henry Furr built the complex in 1982 around a four-tenths-mile dirt oval that was later paved and reshaped into a half-mile tri-oval in 1991. It was known for the Big 10 super late model series and the North-South Shootout, which featured a 125-lap modified race. The track was sold to auto-auction company Copart, closed in 2019 and was demolished by 2022.
