History
Las Vegas Motor Speedway opened its 1.5-mile oval in 1996, and its stadium-style drag strip, The Strip, followed around 2000. Owned by Speedway Motorsports, the strip hosts an NHRA national event that often decides season championships. The 2026 race was billed as the 26th annual Nevada event.
