History
The main 1.5-mile tri-oval opened in 1996, though the complex grew out of earlier racing venues on the site dating to the early 1970s. Speedway Motorsports bought it in 1999 and later added more banking and 'The Strip' drag strip, which opened in 2000. The complex also includes the three-eighths-mile Bullring, and the track hosts both a spring and a playoff Cup race.
