History

Route 66 Raceway opened in 1998 next door to what became Chicagoland Speedway. It is owned by NASCAR and also has a three-eighths-mile dirt oval. Its NHRA national event, the Route 66 Nationals, ran in May 2026, and the track hosted HOT ROD Drag Week later that year.
