History
Vincent and Louis Napoliello founded Raceway Park in Englishtown in 1965, and it grew into one of the best-known drag strips in the country. It hosted the NHRA Summernationals from 1971 through 2017, and its 1977 Grateful Dead concert drew more than 100,000 people. Citing rising costs, the owners stopped all drag racing in January 2018, though the rest of the complex remains in use.
