History
Tom and Jennie Nicol opened this steeply banked third-mile oval in 1950. It briefly shut down in early 2008 amid ownership turmoil but reopened that November for the Turkey Derby and resumed full seasons in 2009. Drivers such as Ray Evernham, Richie Evans and members of the Truex family raced here, and NASCAR's Whelen Modified Tour has made several visits.
