History
Larz and Isabel Anderson collected cars from 1899 onward and kept them in the carriage house of their Brookline estate. The collection is often described as the oldest in the United States, and the carriage house began opening to visitors in the 1920s. Today the museum is known for its weekend lawn events that each focus on a different make or theme.
