History
Lakeside Speedway first opened in 1955 at another Kansas City, Kansas, location and moved to its present site near the Missouri River in 1989. It ran as a paved track until 2000, when new owners converted it to dirt. Clint Bowyer raced there early in his career and still holds track records.
