History
Designed with input from Rusty Wallace, the seven-eighths-mile oval opened in Newton in 2006. NASCAR bought it in 2013 for about $10 million. The Cup Series first raced there in 2024, IndyCar holds doubleheader weekends, and a renovation that includes repaving is planned ahead of 2027.
