History
President Hoover dedicated the museum in October 1929 to honor Thomas Edison, and it opened to the public in June 1933. Its collection includes the Kennedy presidential limousine, the Rosa Parks bus, and many locomotives, aircraft and cars. Together with Greenfield Village it forms the largest indoor-outdoor museum complex in the United States.
