History
The complex debuted as Firebird International Raceway in 1983 on tribal land south of Phoenix. It was rebranded Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in 2013 when the Gila River Indian Community took over operations, then went back to the Firebird name in 2023. Ayrton Senna famously tested a Penske IndyCar on its East Course in 1992, and the drag strip remains a fixture of the NHRA national tour.
