History

Eldora Speedway was built by Earl Baltes in rural Darke County, Ohio, in the 1950s and grew into one of the most famous dirt tracks in the world. NASCAR star Tony Stewart bought the track in 2004 and later hosted NASCAR Truck Series races there from 2013 to 2019. Its marquee events, the Kings Royal for sprint cars and the Dream and World 100 for late models, carry some of the largest purses in dirt racing.
