History

The Du Quoin 'Magic Mile' is a one-mile clay oval at the state fairgrounds in southern Illinois, about 90 miles from St. Louis. It has long been a stop for national championship open-wheel racing, and the USAC Silver Crown Ted Horn 100 reached its 72nd running in 2026. ARCA's annual 100-lap dirt race there (recently branded the Southern Illinois 100 and Audubon Park 100) is a fixture of the fair's Labor Day weekend.
