History
The quarter-mile Banks oval was started in 1986 after its founders fell out with the Washington County Fair, and grandstands were added the following year. Mike McCann bought the track in 1997 and turned it into a clay surface, and Doug Walters later took a stake and expanded the facility until his death in 2008. It now runs a regular April-to-September program of sprint, modified and stock car classes.
