America On Wheels Museum

The museum came out of a 1989 plan to revive a run-down industrial strip along the Lehigh River, and after years of funding and cleanup delays it opened in April 2008. The $17 million building focuses on road transportation, with bicycles, motorcycles, cars and trucks. It also holds Mack Trucks archives and an 1889 Nadig carriage, said to be one of the first gas-powered vehicles driven in the U.S.
